Rep. Markey joins agricultural, business and environment groups to discuss growing green economic recovery in Northern Colorado

Environment Colorado lauded Congress for the passage of a "green recovery" plan today through the House of Representatives and for the expected passage later this evening through the Senate. The green economic recovery package contains nearly $80 billion in clean energy, energy efficiency, public transit, rail and other green transportation funding.

Environment Colorado applauds the Senate’s vote today to put America one step further down the path to a national new energy economy.

With a speaker system powered by a mobile solar energy system, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper joined other political leaders before a crowd of hundreds of clean energy business workers, renewable energy advocates, labor supporters, and environmentalists calling for policies that will bring more green jobs by supporting sound investment in renewable energy.
