Keep Rocky Mountain wild

Environment Colorado is calling on Congress to grant wilderness protection to  Rocky Mountain National Park. We’re working with our allies in several states to move The Rocky Mountain National Park Wilderness Act through Congress this year.

With its majestic snow-topped mountains, bighorn sheep and bald eagles, Rocky Mountain National Park is the crown jewel of Colorado and one of the reasons our state is known as a naturalist’s paradise. But with gas exploration and vacation home sales booming in Colorado, the park might not stay so pristine forever.

“Rocky Mountain National Park is a treasure that should be maintained for future generations,” said Environment Colorado’s Matt Baker. “We urge Congress to preserve Rocky Mountain’s unspoiled beauty by giving it permanent wilderness protection.
