This summer Environment Colorado began its very own Twitter account.  We aim to educate our followers about the latest news in environmental policy; our updates provide breaking news about the legislative progress of the ACES bill, as well as pending energy initiatives in federal and local government.  One of our recent tweets provides a link to Time magazine’s profile on Obama’s Secretary of Energy Steven Chu, a fierce advocate of renewable with the drive to shake up Washington’s perspective on global warming.
In addition to tweeting outside news, we hope to involve our members more meaningfully through Twitter by providing information on our latest actions as an organization.  This summer we have released a couple of reports, held a press conference and attended Obama’s town hall in Grand Junction, all broadcasted through tweets.
In the fall our Twitter account will give you frequent updates of ACES’ progress in the Senate legislative session - stay updated on the latest environmental news and events by following @EnvironmentCO!
